Artist's Comments

I drew this giant old shoe because I just think that in the culture I grew up in, I was taught to value things that are new and get rid of something if it's old. I was hoping to kind of reverse these notions and say that just because something is old doesn't mean it doesn't have a functionality anymore, you just have to be more creative with your uses of it. (And not use it only for what it was traditionally used for) In this country called Ladakh, they recycle their old fabrics by using them as rags, filters, insulating their homes, all sorts of uses. I find this idea of reuse to be really invigorating and a way to improve my current environmental commitment.

.... Wow. That is a very large shoe.

"'But I don't want to go about mad people,' Alice remarked.
'Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat, 'we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.'
'How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
'You must be,' said the Cat, 'or you wouldn't have come here.'"

I can see the details much better on here than on Facebook, even with the watermark. Therefore, I can now tell how much more awesome this is. :)

Escalators can never break down; they can only become stairs.

Thanks! I think it's cause we can blow these up more. Yeah, only you could mesh the no watermark and the larger size to get the full effect.
